对非英语专业学习者指示词使用情况的研究
Based on the analysis of data from three corpora of different language backgrounds,writing styles and language proficiency,the study investigates how Chinese university students use demonstratives as cohesive devices in English writing.
本研究从不同母语、不同水平以及不同文体三个视角分析了大学生语料库中的英语指示词的使用情况,发现中国学生过少使用大多数指示词this/these/those,但过多使用that;限定词修饰的名词短语表示情景所指的丰富度不够,语篇衔接力度不够;不同文体对指示词的使用有一定影响,指示词使用于说明文的频率高于记叙文和议论文;学习者语言水平对指示词的整体使用影响不大,但远指词that的使用随学习者水平提高而逐渐减少。
This paper studies the use of demonstratives in Chinese learners English argumentative writing.
本文运用语料库方法研究了中国学生英语议论文中的指示词使用特点,结果表明:(1)中国英语学习者使用的指示代词多以单数形式that和this出现,指示限定词以近指的this和these较多;(2)他们较多使用限定词+名词形式来实现照应;(3)所使用的指示词数量少于本族语者且分布不均衡,表现在近指词使用过少,而远指词使用过度;(4)中国学生使用的与指示词搭配的词汇大都是宽泛的类属词,通过指示照应增加的信息量较少。
