This paper educes the method for computing picture definition of DTV and its theoretical value which is expressed in TV line, and indicates that CRT TV based on electronic scanning is greatly different from those TV display devices or screens with intrinsic resolution such as LCD, PDP, DLP and LCoS in picture definition.
