This revies introduces advances in research on microstructure and properties of 6000 series aluminium alloys, especially aging precipitation process as well as the effect of alloy elements on the process, ways of enhancing baking hardening response and relation of recrystallization texture produced during the solution heat treatment and shaping performance.
