The development of the maxillary process and the mandibullar arch of chick embryos (incubated for 2￣5 days) was observed by microdissection and SEM.
利用显微解剖术和扫描电镜观察第１０～２５期鸡胚头颈区，结果：①鸡胚发生早期，头颈区出现后共形成９条弓形隆起：一对上颌弓、一条下颌弓和三对鳃弓；②上、下颌弓发生是相对独立的，上颌弓发生与第一对弓动脉和头摺有关，下颌弓发生与第一对弓动脉起始部有关；③各对隆起由腹侧向外、向背侧延伸。
