During a herpetological trip in western Sichuan Province in August of 2001, a new species of the genus Japalura (Sauria: Agamidae) was found.
作者于２００１年８月在四川省汶川县采到攀蜥属（Ｊａｐａｌｕｒａ）动物，经鉴定为攀蜥属一新种，订名为汶川攀蜥Ｊａｐａｌｕｒａ ｚｈａｏｅｒｍｉｉｓｐ。
