Based on the analytical data of light hydrocarbons of over 2000 oil samples of different types, Mango discovered a remarkable composition invariance in four isoheptanes, proposed a steady-state catalytic kinetic model for the origin of light hydrocarbon, and put forward K_1, K_2 and RP parameters.
