2-(3,3-Dimethylbut-1-ynyl)benzofuran was synthesized by the reaction of 2-ethynylphenol and(E)-1,2-diiodo-3,3-dimethylbut-1-ene in the presence of palladium(II) acetate and copper(I) iodide as catalyst via an one-pot reaction in triethylamine-tetrahydrofuran media.
