ZrO_2-SiC composite has been synthesized from zirconite and carbon black by car- bothermal reduction reaction in argon atmosphere,which was added to Al_2O_3-C refractory to study the improvement of oxidation resistance of the Al_2O_3-C refractory,and the effect of heating tem- perature on the synthesis of ZrO_2-SiC composite was also investigated.
